I've been on a bit of a reading spree lately, some nice M&B's by Penny Jordan and Roger Sanderson. The Beach hut by Veronica Henry, A selection of short stories by Maeve Binchy, a nice group of historical short stories by Elizabeth Hanbury. Next up is a debbie Macomber followed by a real treasure - I managed to get one of the forerunner series by Andre Norton for my collection - and it was one I haven't read before! I'm also waiting for Amazon to bring me the new Jenny Crusie book.
How about you? What are you reading? Any good recomends?
Ps I like happy endings, no horror or misery lit, don't care for vampires werewolves or stuff like thet.

I just finished Jennifer Weiner's "Best Friends Forever" - a nice, breezy read, that - I'd suggest her "Goodnight Nobody" and "Little Earthquakes", too. Also "Good in Bed" or "In Her Shoes", if you haven't read them already. There are some darker moments in most of those stories, and a couple of them have been known to move me to tears, but the endings of most of her books are generally upbeat.
I'd also recommend just about anything by Marlena de Blasi (not fiction, but reads like it; I mean that in the most positive way). Try "A Thousand Days in Venice" and "A Thousand Days in Tuscany" - romantic and real life. Some sad moments in the second book, there, but overall a heartwarming and touching story of finding true love later in life.
And then, of course, you've already read mine... LOL!
I loved The Beach Hut. Thoroughly addictive! Now I'm onto The Summer Hideaway by Susan Wiggs.

If you're up for a memoir, I'm reading Constance Feathers' "Secrets of a Mysterious Older Woman". It covers her life post divorce where she creates a comedy act, meets a Count and moved to rural France to live in a restored barn haunted by a cow. It's hilarious, fun and inspiring. I'm loving it!

I like crime, Nell and I'm reading the new WExford book by Ruth Rendell and can't out it down.
I've got All I Ever Wanted by Kristan Higgins from Book Depositiry next - it won a 2010 RITA and I wanted to see what US single title romance was like. It sounds brilliant.
Then I've got Jill Mansell's Take a Chnace on Me and I've also got a proof copy of Veronica's Birthday Party to read.
Hi Kim, I haven't tried either of those authors, I'll have to take a look. And I want to re-read yours when it's released in November as I'm sure it's changed again since we were working on it. I know mine always do.
I haven't read a Susan Wiggs for ages now, Judy. I'm taking notes on all these recomends.
