My new author pic done by Jacqueline Williams photography. Hopefully my web man will get my old one replaced on my website soon. I've lots more lovely pics that she's taken but I thought I'd go for serious.
What a difference from the one on your blog. You can certainly tell that you've lost weight. Maybe have that one for serious promo (books) and a smily one for website and blog?
Liz and Julie - I was told that it's not usual to smile in an author photo for a book jacket. Apparently it's all in the eyes. I haven't had a book jacket pic taken yet but if I ever do, I shall give the thoughtful look a try!
I like it, Nell! Though I love your smiley ones too but this one is approachable but authorly. I'm liking your glasses too! Speaking as someone whose new ones make me look like Nick Robinson BBC News political correspondent (still wearing them in). Will be looking out for your new pic on web! jx
Thanks all. Judy, I wear childrens glasses as adult frames are too wide for me. My previous pair had little dogs on the sides chasing after bones - very mature and grown up lol
