It makes such a difference to how you feel when the sun comes out, doesn't it? Despite the fact that it's the time of year when the tree pollen is stirring and I need to stock up on my hayfever meds. Life has been a bit sticky here for a few months, employment worries, the Belles and their concerns and commitments and health issues for various family members.
None of that has changed really except today the sun is shining, I have a voucher (just a small one) to spend in M&S and I have critiquing work to do. I do a small amount of critiquing work for private clients and for the RNA NWS throughout the year. I may be able to take some more private clients this year so if you think you might be interested in working with me drop me an email and I'll send you my rates. For now though I need to go and run all my errands before getting back to my list of jobs for today.

I'm melting

I don't do heat terribly well and today was hot. I had five back to back appointments most of which involved me being outside - in the heat - talking. Whimper. So now I'm home and ate one of my mini Haagen Daz tubs of Baileys icecream - yummalicious.
Yes, I did count it in with my food totals so I'm still being good and healthy. I positively glow with virtue - either that or it's sunburn - not sure which.

sun and shadow
I have a panel of material that I stick across the window of my office when the sun comes through and I can't see the computer screen. My office faces south and you all know how much I hate curtains. So a few weeks ago I couldn't read my screen so I put up the panel - ever since then it's been grey and yucky and dark. Should I take the panel down? What do think? I'm placing bets that the minute I do the sun will be out again.

Sunshine
At last the sun is out. I am so tired of getting wet lately, I swear I'm getting rusty. Animal Instincts has just gone off to my editor so now I'll wait to see what she thinks. Today has been spent mainly on errands - all of them necessary but time sinks nonetheless.
I made the most of the dry day to strip the beds and do a mega wash of bedclothes. I noticed the washer was making a funny noise on the last load so when it had finished I checked the trap inside the rubber seal. Today I collected a sea shell, a chocolate wrapper, a hair clip, four beads, two penny pieces, a badge and a brick.
Sigh - the joys of children.

Sunny side up
Today was my first day back since my treatment to my leg. So far so good, leg is still on lol. It's just so nice to be getting my life back. Talking of my life, I've generally been doing some reorganising and hopefully I'll be making some positive changes soon.
Still no news on Charlie Darling - but I'm working on my 'big book' and started doing some tidying on Animal Instincts before I write the last few chapters. I've lots of things going into my ideas file for future stories too, so at the moment it's all good.
Isn't it amazing the difference a bit of sunshine makes?

Sunny Sunday
The sun is shining and I've been driving the new car. I'm slowly getting more used to it. The biggest thing isn't that it's an auto but that the indicators are on the opposite side to the Kia, so I have to watch that I don't keep washing the windows.
Stil need to sell Baby - sob, but hopefully I'll find a good home for her soon.
I had a nice surprise yesterday when Amazon delivered a copy of Olivia Gates latest medical - Yay! What a treat, I'm looking forward to a really good read. Oivia writes for M&B medicals and also the Desire line.
I'm counting down the days to getting my hip sorted out and I feel more positive than I've done for ages. Must be the weather lol a bit of sunshine makes such a difference but I've lots of plans for the coming year and I feel like it's beginning to look possible now to make some of the changes I want. I promise to enighten you all when things are more concrete.
Now back to the wip's.
